Let's discuss the equipment needed to perform ultrasound-guided botulinum toxin injections. At minimum, you will need gloves, gauze, and skin prep, a sterile cover for the ultrasound probe and gel, an ultrasound machine, botulinum toxin, and a handheld device for electromyography and electrical simulation guidance with TAD electrodes and a hypodermic needle electrode. For upper limb botulinum toxin injections, a suspension device may be used to assist with ergonomically positioning the patient. An IV pole with locking wheels is used, in combination with a neoprene suspension device, to suspend the upper limb.
