Member May 2026: Growing the Evidence Together: Successes, Pitfalls, and Practical Lessons
Description

Description

This virtual session will serve as a focused research symposium designed to showcase the breadth of cancer rehabilitation scholarship across institutions and career stages. The primary objective is to highlight diverse research methodologies—including scoping reviews, systematic reviews, prospective clinical trials, translational projects, and collaborative outcomes research—while fostering meaningful dialogue around study design, implementation, and dissemination. Presentations will include both completed and ongoing projects, allowing attendees to gain insight not only into research outcomes, but also into the decision-making processes, methodological considerations, and challenges encountered along the way. The session will incorporate short, structured presentations followed by moderated discussion, with the potential inclusion of an interactive style segment where emerging research ideas receive constructive feedback from experienced investigators. As a Member Community, our goal is to strengthen research capacity, promote cross-institutional collaboration, and engage trainees and early-career physiatrists in scholarly work.
