Description

An education session on rehabilitation technology in the nursing home will aim to provide Physiatrist with an overview of various technology-assisted rehabilitation tools and techniques. The objectives of the session will be to increase understanding of how these tools can be effectively used to enhance the physical rehabilitation process, improve outcomes, and support residents in their activities of daily living. The session will comprise of a brief lecture and interactive discussions, allowing participants to gain practical experience with rehabilitation technology and to explore how it can be incorporated into their daily practice in the nursing home.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify current issues facing nursing home patients including falls and hospital readmissions
  • Identify the current issues with staffing and funding
  • Gain knowledge on innovations in the rehabilitation space
  • Identify solutions that can used in the current setting
