Description
Clinical integration with accessible technologies may improve patient centered care models and provide feedback on progress made toward functional goals. A wide range of technologies is available to clinical practitioners for assessment of motion features, balance and gait. This session will discuss: 1) considerations of selecting technologies for assessment of biomechanics, 2) pros and cons of technology types and 3) clinical scenarios in which these technologies can enhance quality of care and improve outcomes. Devices and technologies will be presented that have relevance to all areas of physiatric practice including sports medicine, spine interventions and management, pediatric physiatry, traumatic brain injury, and more. At the end of the session, attendees will have a working knowledge of technology options available for use in the clinical setting.
