Member May: Acute and Chronic Pain in Pediatric Athletes (1.25 CME)
Description

Description

Pediatric acute and chronic pain management is an area that has few official guidelines and published protocols. One of the largest causes of impact in the pediatric population is musculoskeletal pain which is commonly experienced in all pediatric populations, but especially in athletes. Our primary goal is to share current data and evidence on acute and chronic pain management as well as share the experience and expertise from a diverse panel physicians who treat pediatric patients with acute or chronic pain. Our secondary goals include: to network and to discuss thought provoking questions in order to form ideas on how to improve the field as a whole or in our own practice.

Learning Objectives
Learning Objective 1: Understand current evidence for acute pediatric pain management in athletes
Learning Objective 2: Understand current evidence for chronic pediatric pain management in athletes
Learning Objective 3 : Understand areas in acute and chronic pediatric pain management where evidence is lacking
