Learning Objectives
After completing this enduring material, the participant should be able to:
- Acquire an understanding of the orientation of the ultrasound probe in the exam of the posterior hip
- Perform a SPORTS US examination of the knee and ankle-foot regions as recommended by the AIUM Practice Guidelines for the Performance of the MSK US Examination
- Perform and appropriately document (eg, capture, label, save, and transfer images; generate a report) the following ankle-foot procedures:
- Intra-articular tibiotalar joint injection
- Peroneal tendon sheath injection
- Peri- or intra-plantar fascia injection
- Identify the metatarsal heads and the tendons and neurovascular structures associated with them
