Physiatrists from Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health discussed the role of physiatrists in transitioning patients surviving COVID-19 to outpatient rehabilitation services. The panel shared their experiences and practical strategies to enhance the outpatient care of COVID-19 patients, including novel approaches to outpatient care delivery. Specific needs of patients surviving COVID-19 (pulmonary rehab, neuro-rehab, and neuromuscular rehab) was reviewed as were strategies to re-open outpatient physiatry and therapy clinics.
