Description
The Geriatric Rehab Community will address a very important topic on Ageism as outlined below presented by our Physiatric members, a Geriatrician and by a nationally renowned guest speaker who is an expert in Ageism. Each of the speakers will bring in their expertise in the topic with evidence based practical approaches. The speakers will have 20 minutes each to cover the topic. At the end, there will be a moderated session with questions and answers.

- By attending this session, participants will be able to define Ageism and understand the different forms of ageism that exist
- By attending this session, participants will be able to describe and promote ableism
- By attending this session, participants will be able to identify ways in which ageism affects older adults' cognitive and physical health, and their health outcomes
