Member May: The field of Limb loss, difference, and preservation rehabilitation - Exploring clinical, education, service, and research landscapes (1.25 CME)
Description

Description

The session will engage the audience in a discussion of their clinical, education, advocacy, and research landscapes in the field of limb loss, difference, and preservation rehabilitation. For each of the four landscapes, we will combine polling, illustration of ongoing work with examples, and informal discussions around these examples. By sharing these experiences and knowledge, we aim to foster the engagement of PM&R physicians as team leaders in this field and enhance rehabilitation outcomes for individuals with limb loss and difference.

Learning Objectives

  • Learning Objective 1: Critically analyze their own clinical programs for coordination opportunities and solutions
  • Learning Objective 2: Describe how to develop and refine their limb loss rehab training opportunities
  • Learning Objective 3: List community support resources that could be helpful for their patients
  • Learning Objective 4: Discuss potential participation in collaborative research opportunities
