The first session of the 2021 AAPM&R Department Chairs Virtual Summit Series is titled “Private Corporation Ownership of Rehabilitation Hospitals: Sharing Realities and Lessons Learned.” A panel of department chairs will share their experiences partnering with or potentially being acquired by corporate institutions, discussing short-and long-term implications of corporate acquisitions (both pros and cons), considerations for how to protect yourself and your staff, and lessons learned.

This will be followed by an interactive discussion with the full group. Note: All attendees will be invited to participate in a brief pre-event survey to share their experience with current or potential acquisitions. The de-identified data will be shared with the group as part of the discussion.
